I haven’t wished I was doing a daily news podcast since the day it ended for me, because everything has been horrible since November and my mental health would have suffered. It was honestly great timing. But man I wish I could do one just on the Blue Jays, just for fun.

I have to tell you folks. I enjoy emotional hedging as basically my only form of sports betting. And I’ve probably lost about $60-80 betting $3-5 against the Blue Jays every day since they got hot and it’s the best money I’ve ever spent.

I put some spare money I had into BTC and Doge. Not because I like it. But it’s the same principle I use when I bet against my favourite sports teams. If the Bad Guys are going to win I want a piece of it. And it’s worth that money to me to see them lose if it happens.

Ok this is one of the funniest things I’ve seen in a while

I should do a thread sometime because I had so many ridiculous nothing interactions with celebrities as just, like, the non-beat random intern/contract GA who was told to be there. I “interviewed” Tila Tequila about “her book” (it exists, I promise!) for like 7 minutes. She called me “a snack”.

Oh here’s a random one just for Canadian media. As a summer intern at the star they told me to just grab any open desk. I sat (unknowing!) at Rosie DiManno’s. it was empty! she shows up, kind of sneers, “who are you? Why are you in my desk? Can you leave now?” I … ran for it.

I was passed a joint by Joe Strummer as a camera dude just closing stuff down after a show he did. He was smoking with the promoter and band and offered it to everyone who was around cleaning up. Just a genuine good guy move.

Might have been a really good move to pick an American Pope actually. Here’s the thing, there’s lots of “people of faith” who do awful stuff. But there are, also, People Of Faith, who read the damn bible.
