I don't know if you're allowed to do that... HydroAI's high-definition cameras are used to automate fish and eel counts, but that hasn't stopped other animals from jumping in front of the camera. Here's a look at some of the unexpected visitors we spotted on HydroAI in 2025.

Here's Aytaç Özgül and his team setting up their comprehensive tracking project spanning the Turkish Straits. Known as the STRAITS Project, their setup of 25 VR2Tx and VR2W receivers will track more than 100 bluefish tagged by this team, along with several other species tagged by other projects.
