The spell animations in Trails in the Sky are incredible. They really have that sense of impact, and stronger spells actually look and FEEL powerful. (On the final chapter of the remake)

As a game dev, listening to proper and valid criticism is a valuable thing, BUT attempting to cater to every single person who doesn't like that ONE THING/ASPECT about your project will get you absolutely nowhere. A lot of times you simply have to read a comment, say "ok" to yourself, and move on.

I'm sorry, but I have to admit that I kinda LOVE how divisive the story (particularly its ending) is in Scarmonde. Some LOVE it, others DESPISE it, and almost everyone's interpretation of the story is different. 🥰

I can't remember which of you folks recommended Scarmonde. I just finished the demo. Wishlisted this for when I have money/time again. This plays like if an 8-bit FF game decided to lean more into the Wizardry influences. But with balanced difficulty. store.steampowered.com/app/2769210/...
