I've been convinced of two things... One is to finally make the jump to Hitbox. Been meaning to for a while now, and second thing gives me a good excuse. That being... Im gonna go back to Bea now that im back in granblue mode. Ilsa is mega fun but she still feels a little too honest for me.

Thursday Thoughts IV We back baby, and slightly less sick and sad than last week (although there were some rough patches ngl) Anyway, let's continue this silly train ride that is my jumbled grab bag of dumb thoughts that appear in my brain in this moment. Wooooo

Been sick since last Thursday (and mental has been taking a dive bc last thing I need rn is to be missing work), but I think im getting over it. Needless to say Thursday Thoughts III got sidetracked, so impromptu Monday Musings it is.

Thursday Thoughts II (think imma stick with it): Might as well start with weight loss. Haven't been super consistent tracking calories, but I have been going out of my way to make sure im not over eating like ive been in the past. The big thing I can say is im still trying, which is big.

Thursday Thoughts I (working title, figured I'd do these once a week and Thursdays as good a day as any): No real rhyme or reason. Like any journal, it is just gonna be a "whats on my mind" grab bag of thoughts, just so I can look back on it. This is really for me, but I thought it'd be neat.

Also ive kinda decided to help with the whole mental health thing, im gonna start writing out things here more often kinda just as a journal. Forces me to write more (something ive wanted to push myself to do more often) while also letting me gather my thoughts (bc after last year I need to).

Hey all, it be a new year and I got a resolution. (That isnt my yearly "ill lose weight for sure haha") Weddings of family and friends done and physical health (mostly) handled, this year is time for Taera mental wellness. Step one done :)

First-time commentary was a lot of fun, but man I feel like I did a lot wrong. I'm definitely gonna try to do it more, but I have some things I need to work on.

Doing my first bit of commentary tonight for a friends stream. I'm getting nervous but still excited to dip my toes into it.

Im having such a weird character crisis in this game man. I feel like I play a more keepaway style in tag games (Moridoom in MvC, Merkava Nine in BBTAG) that im just not doing in 2XKO and im thinking maybe I should. But in grounded games, I play strike throw pressure monsters... Why brain bad.

Me: when you are still learning a fighting game, you don't need a bunch of fancy combos, one to build meter and one to spend it should be enough. Me playing a tag game where one of my characters has an install that changes their specials, and needs specific routing to build install gauge: oh no...

Made the mistake of peeping X (still have it for fighting game tech solely) to see the discourse about 2XKO pricing and hoo boy... Big mistake.

So as it turns out doing helping out with and attending a wedding for 12 hours straight, standing for about 9-10 of those hours, and walking up and down a flight of stairs throughout turns you legs to jelly the next day. Wild.

Hey... I know ive been in a mental time capsule this year where nothing has truly been going on and ive missed most of the year... but what do you mean its almost October. Time isn't real man.

So, juat about two weeks into the 2XKO beta and I have some thoughts. Keep in mind these are opinions from a dumb guy who plays fighting games as a hobby. Idk game design or balance (nor does frankly most people on social media) and what i say should be taken with a pile of salt. That being said...

Character Crisis sucks man. I need to lab more to hammer home a team (luckily its my Friday so I have 3 days to do so) but im between like 4 pairs rn.

Oh yeah, also while I'm here posting I just want to say... God 2XKO is a joy to play. I can't remember the last time I had a true character crisis from there being too many characters I liked. Some small nitpicks with the balance of some things, but overall, it's pretty great.

So this year has been bad bad... but the good news is we might be back in a good headspace to where I can go back to being me. To that end, I'll probably actually start doing shit on here more than just lurking and potentially may get back into content creation.

Went 3-2 at locals. Just outside of top 8 and last set went last game last round. Still don't feel like I'm great, but I can take games off great players, so now I just need to grind sets and get that next milestone.

I love how in the year I'm going to 2 weddings and in general supporting others, my body decides "nah this is about me actually" and hits me with the worst gut pain I've ever had. What a drama queen.

Finally got to playing Neva as Gris is one of my favorite games ever. It's exactly what I was expecting from Nomada studios. I'm am mad, angry, upset, and all other synonyms. 10/10 improvement of Gris in every way. Man, I love this studio.

Sad that this turned out the way it has, especially for the granblue scene. Here's hoping things turn around for the better in the years ahead, but I can guarantee that if there is a granblue event, I will find a way to be there. I may be a bit preoccupied when 2XKO drops, but I will still be there

I've been taking a break from doing more online granblue brackets, and I really need to get back into it. To that end, I will be getting back into streaming at least Saturdays for TNS so I can vod review off stream Sunday to get back to it. Hopefully I stay consistent but it's me :^)

Had a good birthday yesterday, woke up today, and I've been so out of it today I couldn't leave my bed until 3:30pm. I say this all to say, even though all that shit it's still been a great day bc the Seahawks beat the 49ers.

No spoilers for either, but gotta say... Watching Dandadan episode 7 followed by binging Arcane 2 act 2 probably wasn't the best call on my part emotionally. Man...

One thing I've noticed here with everything being new is that over the years, Twitter was and still is a big hub for fgc resources (character tech specifically) that makes up where sites like Dustloop lacks. While I can't make that up by myself, I'll do what I can. Bea Mains look out. #GBVSR_BT
