I finished season 1 of Fruits Basket. I never knew the OG show left an unfinished story. I now realize that we never got to meet a huge chunk of the zodiac. But as I kid I just thought, oh, I guess it just wasn't important. It felt finished. Despite narratively being the same as the OG, I loved it!

I've been watching the Fruits Basket remake. I'm really happy that most of the OG cast returned. The story itself has been mostly the same so far. I'm still enjoying it tho. I'm curious why it is 37 episodes longer. I look forward to the new material. I always felt like the OG was rushed by the end.

In a year that I played all 3 main Xenoblade games & their DLC, I cannot believe that I played a better RPG than them all. I'm looking at the games I played this year to think of categories for awards. I'm going to have to get tricky w/ the categories so E33 doesn't overshadow all other games/RPGs.

Today's stream of Inuyasha was really fun. The encounter rate seems to have leveled out. I was worried it was going to be really high the entire game. I'm happy I'm just following a guide. That way I don't get lost and get impatient with the encounter rate. I'm enjoying this experience.

I really love most of the exp I'm having with Inuyasha and the Secret of the Cursed Mask. Despite the tedium when you get lost, it's still a pretty ambitious anime tie in game. They don't make games like this anymore. Games where they clearly got Dave from accounting to voice a random character.

Inuyasha has been fun, but it's really slow and the encounter rate is high. It was maddening today trying to figure out where to go. I have done it off screen. I save stated before the boss. We are over half way through. I will beat this game despite the tedium.

I finished Attack on Titan last night. I enjoyed it enough. Season 4 feels like a completely different show. I'm not a fan of how many times the show in general will skip moments in time to then show you them in full later. That is an effective narrative tool used sparingly.

I started watching Attack on Titan. I'm enjoying it. The start of Season 3 has been especially good. I have 1 complaint tho. No spoilers of course. I'm not a fan of how much inner dialogue characters have, esp Eren. It causes a lot of over analyzing, repetition, & slows the pace down to a crawl.

This Inuyasha JRPG is way better than it should be. I cannot stress enough, despite it being a throw away tie in to an anime in the 2000's that there is way more effort put into it than a lot of JRPGs from the era. It's fully voice acter with the original cast & combat, although basic, is still fun.

So far, it's be fun. It's basic. But also higher quality than I remember. It's neat that it's fully voice acted. My one gripe is that dark areas are really dark. I got lost due to it. But yea, I'm happy with my choice to play this.

So turns out I have 2 Inuyasha brain worms that have eaten at my brain for nearly 2 decades. The first being never watching The Final Act. Which I finally did. And beating Inuyasha: The Secret of the Cursed Mask is the other. I remember it being a very basic JRPG. Maybe we do that?

I put about 5 hours into Three Houses. I just don't think it's for me. There is too much sim. I am also not a fan of the protag having a voice in battle but not in cutscenes. I also feel like everyone has dead eyes. I know this will piss people off but Engage graphically looks better.

So I think I'm going to play FE Three Houses on my own time. I will probably enjoy it more that way. I'm leaning towards the Blue Lions. That is what was suggested to me as well. Maybe we will start Sackboy: A big Adventure next stream.

I tried playing the Lecarde Chronicles 2. It does not stream well tbh. It's a constant fight with the resolution. Oh well. I'll figure out something else to play soon.

So I watch a plot summary of FullMetal Alchemist(2003) as a refresher. Although I find Brotherhood to be superior in pretty much every way, there is one cool thing in 2003. I especially like the connection between the characters and the homunculi in 2003. I thought it was a Brotherhood reveal.

I started skipping through Inuyasha Final Act episodes to speed up the process. I finished it. Was it worth it? Kinda, I guess. It's a shame it was rushed. But I also feel like the writing was terrible. They said everyone's full government name at all times. And repeated plot points over and over.

I totally forgot today is my 5 year Stream-aversary. I was going to do something special for it but life kinda happened. Oh well. It happens.

So I finished fma brotherhood and started inuyasha the final act to finally get closure. It's super rushed and poorly written imo so far. Like they always call everything by name. Things are just happening and issues get resolved seconds after they start.

So I'm rewatch Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood. I forgot how violent and intense the entire show is. It's as good as I remember it being. There is very little downtime and most characters get their moment in the sun. And the "Wait for me!" scene still slaps. I kinda want to draw that moment.

So I have 2 free Metroidvanias we are going to try to play. The first being Shin Megami Tensei Synchronicity Prologue and the other being Castlevania: The Lecarde Chronicles 2. I am excited for both. See y'all either late tonight or tomorrow!

I keep striking out on games. Environmental Station Alpha is an infuriating exp. I played some off stream to make progress & it was a constant struggle. The hookshot is by far one of the worst controlling mechanics I have seen in awhile. Platforming with it sucks. Bosses are too hard even on easy.
