25°C in the Aare in Felsenau (AG) today. A never seen before temperature for a 30th of June, which forced the nuclear power plant of Beznau to reduce its production (www.srf.ch/news/schweiz...). The temperature broke the precedent record by 1.2°C and it's not looking good for the next days.

Our paper on snow drought propagation with Raul Wood and @manuelaibrunner.bsky.social got published! iopscience.iop.org/article/10.1... We find that the more frequent low snow years impact the streamflow in spring/summer in the Alps, and this is not for the best. #SLF #ETHZurich #IAC
