There's something oddly comforting when it comes to recreating (reconstructing) a favorite song of yours, while also using your own tools + having your own friends (in this case both @defklaw.bsky.social and @morihimeband.bsky.social) perform their guitar pieces. It's a fun achievement/test o' mine

First time recording with an acoustic guitar in nearly 6 years. Recorded my part in my home studio with a Black Label (1970s) Yamaha FG160-1 acoustic guitar, mic'd with a Shure SM57 microphone.

How did you pick your username? So basically, I got it from three things: an extracted tooth, a conversation about the Deathclaw from Fallout, and changing the way I pronounce Deathclaw so it sounds more like DefKlaw.

Recording guitars for this was fun and frustrating. I used a LINE 6 POD 2.0 (set to Preset 5b), a budget brand SG, and Audacity. I basically followed the original structure of the song for one track and then added two overdubs panned hard left and hard right.

Just so you know, I frankenstein'd the original song, got the guitar seshs from my friend @defklaw.bsky.social for the upcoming Teto cover of "The Remedy" (to fill in the OG guitars since they sounded eerily identical) and mashed it together with the Solo win theme. I love doing this on REAPER :]

I love how out of touch old ass fuckbags see trans people and are like "eww mental illness" but then they'll look at musicians in drag (pictured) and be like "YEAH SO S00PER KOOL ROCK AND ROLL D0000D!!"
