Princeton Univeristy Library will be introducing a Curiosity Studio, allowing space for pop-ups, presentations, and a space to be collaboratively creative. The Makerspace is intended to break down barriers. #CONUL25

Princeton's principles regarding information resources - user empowerment - inclusive access - strategic innovation (encompassing both new technologies and improvements to current resources) - integrated experience (everything should work together to be a unified environment for users) #CONUL25

We are now hearing how a partnership has brought about TigerData at Princeton University, changing the focus from data storage to data management tigerdata.princeton.edu

Anne Jarvis is telling is how ReCap has come about as a collaboration between - Princeton University Library - Columbia University Libraries - New York Public Library - Harvard Library - Yale joining in July There an amazing 18 million volumes in this shared collection! recap.princeton.edu

Anne Jarvis' next point is Innovation. She is urging us to us AI technologies "thoughtfully, responsibly" and in a "meaningful and creative" way to continue the tradition of libraries exploring new ideas. Library space innovation - a hot topic - is also being discussed. #CONUL25

Richard Ovenden is giving a fascinating speech that so far has included the importance of collecting knowledge (including how it has been a matter of life and death throughout history), the fluidity of technology, and our important role in making sure trusted knowledge is available.

No book is boring! We're learning how what could be classed as "boring" can actually bring us so much context and knowledge about our past.

We are thinking about the question "How open should we be?", particularly regarding AI. Oxford are piloting a collaboration with OpenAI, which completes in the Autumn, looking at - if it can help with workload (think card catalogues!) - work regarding existing datasets - scaled digitisation
