i hope that some day games get past "we're going to force you to click this stuff" as tutorialization. i'm not a moron i know how to click things in a ui. explain WHY i am doing this. for as many board games i've played with bad instructions they at least start with what is the point of all of this!

loving BALL x PIT so far, but kind of wish they didn't add bullet hell style bosses to an otherwise really fun breakout/ballz kind of game! feels like a weird skill check for a skill that isn't tested much by the rest of the game (on top of my massive distaste for/bored by that genre in general)

banning that ai bot from your discord doesn't actually do anything because its a user bot, not a server bot. it isn't invisibly sitting on your server, bots can't even do that. you can type the magic numbers into /ban if you want to feel good but you can just disable user apps for everyone here

bought and beat wilmot works it out last night! not too short, but it is 100% just putting together puzzle pieces. some small bits of challenge in some of the puzzles, but otherwise just an easygoing time. finally a character in games that is just as oblivious to the world around them as i am!

picked up the talongames controller grip for the steam deck oled, absolutely hate the dpads on the new oleds, and man it made a huge difference! would prefer a third party dpad replacement but there's like 5 ribbon cables and 15 screws just to get to the dpad. i'll put up with the sticker instead.

beat myst for the first time ever in tyool 2024. its amazing how much free-roaming 3d adds to it, and also trivializes some of the puzzles (in that i can actually plan out what i'm looking for and navigate there logically) but in definitely a good way. also nice and short, 4 hours with some help
