The buzzards seem to absolutely love this weather. Every day they spend hours wheeling around the pure blue skies, shouting. It's very distracting as I just want to watch them.

The news is out that Dom Metcalfe is joining the Great British Drinks Co as MD. I've given some initial thoughts on FB. TL:DR - I think it's massive news in the sector, and it came as a real surprise to me. But I get a good feeling. Hopefully not a misplaced one.

Now even more pleased that I have a fridge full of Trappist beer. (For work, but a couple of sips could be celebratory too) Dare I hope? Dare I?

Just another day in Telford.

I've written a few thoughts about CAMRA's Beer in the UK report on my Facebook but it's long and meandering and I can't be bothered repeating myself. So if you're still on that platform, here it is.

Just woke up and checked my phone a minute before full time. My spidey sense I guess.

Just spent time writing a nice message for The Boy, and he was too interested in which field I went to on my walk to notice it.

My dad just video called me by accident, then spent most of the call trying to figure out how to hang up. I could have done it for him, but then he'll never learn.

Another wobbly tooth - at the top this time. 😭 My baby!

Have enjoyed the couple of football matches I've been to in my life, but it's not really my game in fairness. However, the idea of England v Mexico in Mexico City is gnawing at my brain because, knowing Mexicans, (especially my mates in MC), it is going to be ridiculously epic .

Seems to have helped.

I've just been idly flicking through my reels on Instagram and have a renewed vigour about how wonderful life is and how lucky I am to inhabit this world. So that's nice.

I am sitting in the garden and, perhaps for the first time today, I am a comfortable temperature. Absolute bliss.

I'm a patient woman*, but this feels like the minor inconvenience that pee'd off the very hot camel. *Not patient enough to move for 5 minutes until it stops, obviously.

Here's me, sitting quietly in my shady living room. Until a big ole ray of sunshine reflects off over-the-road's open upstairs window and both blinds and fries me. Alter the angle! In the name of all that's holy!

The Spar has become the new community space, as the only known air conditioned building within a significant radius. I have relented and taken the fan out of Bammers' bedroom for my daytime use. Curtains are shut. Water is being consumed. But still, climate change is not a thing, obviously.
