I'm sick and I'm bored and all I want is to be in bed, playing Tetris 99, but the damn internet keeps going out here and I'm frustrated. And congested.

So... Super Mario Advance is awful. Like the worst version of Mario 2. I never played it back in the day. Just tried it for the first time. Awful.

Finally redid the trees. I was never happy with the old ones. Made a few other changes as well. Testing some different palettes. I'll probably stick with the first image, but I do like the other two quite a lot. I'll probably never be 100 percent satisfied.

I think Double Bubble discontinued their blue razz berry gumballs. I haven't been able to find them for months. I just made a real dumb ebay purchase out of desperation. Two and a half pounds of gumballs. 25 bucks. I might be a little bit high. Just a smidge high.

Made some pretty tasty baked mac and cheese this morning. Left me in a pretty good mood.

Caught the tail end of an old episode of Modern Marvels about video games. It seemed like they thought the Dreamcast was gonna be the biggest thing ever. They were comparing its launch to the success of The Phantom Menace.

Kinda in the mood to play Breath of the Wild or Tears of the Kingdom, but I can't decide. I think I prefer BotW... but I like building the contraptions, though. It's a tough choice.

Stepdad's watching Clarkson Farm and I just noticed the uncanny resemblance

I feel like whoever came up with the swimming/diving mechanics in Animal Crossing is a sociopath. Like trying to gauge depth and distance in this rolling pin world isn't hard enough, what if you also had to repeatedly tap the A button to move slightly faster than the speed of smell?

I don't know exactly when Zardoz became a comfort watch for me. I watched it a bunch last year for a thing that ended up not happening, but now I just put it on when I'm having a rough day

Done with the space station area for now. I worked on it for about a month and it's time to move on. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.

Starting work on a new area. Got a little landing pad for the space van.

ADHD makes me open this app instead of working on my art, and reading about every depressing thing going on in the world kills any motivation I might have to get back to work. I've had Pyxel Edit open for three hours and all I managed was to scribble the word "shuttle" in one corner of the screen.

Done with the space station area for now. I worked on it for about a month and it's time to move on. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.

Alright. Now it's finished. Done. No more changes. No more tweaks. I'm tired of looking at it.

Phone battery at 2 percent and service runs out tomorrow. The temptation to let it die and never charge or reactivate is strong.

I've been watching Deep Space Nine for the first time and I've just started season 7 and I'm not crazy about Ezri so far. I think they should've waited to bring Dax back until a few more episodes into the season. I love that Sisko doesn't care who has the worm. That worm is his best friend.

We lost one of our cats today. Her name was Devlin. I always called her Dev. Any time I was outside, she'd follow me like a bodyguard, putting herself between me and whatever she perceived as a threat. She liked belly rubs but couldn't be trusted not to take a swipe at you with her claws.
