I loathe the Chicago MO Style preference to spell out numbers. Perhaps because of my STEM vibe. Or perhaps I'm out of practice reading "seventy-six kilograms." But even they use digits when symbols are used (76 kg) and digits for $ amounts over 100! See CMOS18: 9.18, 9.22 & 9.26.
