Our paper, Pangenomes suggest ecological-evolutionary responses to experimental soil warming, is published! Led by @malladapted.bsky.social, this study of 91 isolate genomes shows lineage specific trends climate adaptation. Thanks to the many reviewers who helped make this a stronger publication. 🧪

We will be recruiting a postdoc to work on a CIHR-funded project in microbiome stewardship. The aim is to understand how different definitions of microbial diversity influence how we interpret the "health" of microbiomes. Job ad will be forthcoming, but if this sounds interesting do get in touch!

I love this phase of my life where all my favorite bands from the 90's are going on tour again. Artists are thriving, in their 50s, well hydrated, and eating more vegetables. And I get to sing along in the crowd with all the cool dads 😎
