The 3rd ever AC Younger Members Meet was held in the Lakes at the end of last month. Members packed out the George Starkey Hut for a weekend of climbing, running & an impromptu rescue of some stranded scramblers. Here are a few highlight photos, including some approrpiate alpenglow at Castle Rock.

This year saw the Club hold its 12th annual Aspirants' Meet in Saas-Fee. This year's was our biggest to date, with more than 80 attendees enjoying the Saastal & 36 Aspirant members passing through the subsidised training. Many thanks to all those who attended & made it such a fabulous 2 weeks!

The mixed conditions (read: deluge) couldn't dampen spirits on the ACG meet earlier this month. Despite the short weather windows, attendees enjoyed multiple ascents of the Cassin Route on the Piz Badile, with teams also climbing Cengalo, Dente Della Vecchia and the Ago Di Sciora by various routes.

“My dad was here with Casarotto and took a photo, later printed in black and white, that we had hanging at home: you could see Casarotto, tiny and alone, on that immense wall. Growing up with an image like that inevitably makes you dream. And that dream finally came true."

A 2024 expedition which followed in the footsteps of Monica Jackson, Betty Stark and Evelyn Camrass who organised the first all-women expedition to the Himalaya in 1955.

We recently sat down with AC member Masha Gordon to discuss her journey into climbing, her 2024 expedition to Shimshal and the work of her charity GRIT&ROCK, which supports female participation in pioneering alpinism.
