Day 1 of NaNoWriMo: 5,145 words (mood: good, hell, I'm even proud. I NEVER do that much in a day) Day 2: 2,011 (mood: huh, hope I have enough in me for more tomorrow) Day 3: 1,721 (I hate this with every fiber of my being)

So much of taking the traditional publishing route is learning to bounce back after rejection. It feels relentless. The quickest way to come back (for me) is to return to where the magic was all along - my favorite pen & a blank piece of notebook paper ❤️
