Turned 50 today. Still firmly stuck in the 'feats of endurance' stage of my mid-life crisis, so dutifully ran a 50km long run this morning to mark the day, and top off a fiftieth year that covered 2,536 miles. Pizza dinner with the family tonight to facilitate recovery.

A Christmas Eve half-marathon this morning to bring 2025's running total up to 4,024 km = 2,500 miles. That'll do for the year I think. Though I may sneak back on the 30th for a birthday run. Slipping into Christmas wining and dining mode now. Enjoy all!

On this morning's long run, checking out parts of the route for December's marathon. As suspected, canal and footpath still officially closed near Dunham Massey. They're going to have to do adjust the route a bit.
