MAGA logic seems to be that bc of egg prices, we are suffering. So more suffering, like targeting DEI, destroying the auto & construction industries, collapsing the market, & dismantling the constitution is equal suffering as the price of eggs. But that’s the price to pay for things to get better.

I’ve been working on a series of 40”x40” oil paintings. This was recently finished last fall. I’m in the middle of a new work- many more weeks left to go on that. I’m aiming for a series of 5 or 6 before I start shopping this new work around. Not having to worry about school is liberating.

I’m an artist who listens to books in my studio. I prefer sci fi, but a lot of current sci fi includes wizards, dragons and “fantasy” characters. It’s as if sci fi authors include these other elements to sell books. Any suggestions? I like Martha Wells, Andy Weir, S.A. Corey, Scalzi (sometimes).

I’m an artist (oil painting). This is a recent 40”x40”’ oil on Dibond. I’m trying to use Threads less, so I thought I’d reintroduce myself on Bluesky. I use social media mainly for politics (Harris Walz 24!), and rarely post anything of my own, but I thought I’d test the waters here.

Posting several paintings I’ve done over the years. I like to work in a variety of styles- mostly large scale and primarily oil- although sometimes mixed media. Just trying to introduce myself on Blue Sky.

This woman carried a baby certain to die to term, and had to tell her 4 year old son his little brother is already dead, and then held a new born as he died. The completely needless grief brought upon this entire family experience is just horrific.

For the few followers I have here, this is an oil painting I just finished. (40”x40”, oil on Dibond panel, inspired by a photo taken by a friend of an old cannery near Bogue Island NC- an area I have visited many times.)
