Pixar, Aardman, and Studio Ghibli are considered equivalents in their respective countries in my mind. All three of them are animation studios that produce some of the most amazing animated films of all time. What other counties have animation studios that are above and beyond like those three are?

Had an amazing weekend with the #Furcationland family for a staff outing to Six Flags New England for a whole day of fun, then had dinner at Theodore’s Booze, Blues, & BBQ in Springfield. Wicked Cyclone is now my favorite roller coaster, and the vibe at dinner was spectacular with live blues music.

Got given a free air conditioner so I used a piece of scrap plywood to adapt it into the basement window. Added a window as well using a piece of glass left over from another project. it gets surprisingly hot down there during the summer considering it’s mostly underground.

Also… parking in another town and taking the train to Old Orchard is a LOT cheaper and easier than trying to park there

from yesterday: Took a train to Old Orchard Beach, which is Maine’s biggest tourist trap town, met up with a bunch of local furs and played mini golf, checked out a small but surprisingly powerful roller coaster, then had dinner and fried dough. It was a great day :3

got an upgrade today! This is called a dichroic colorhead and it will eventually allow me to make prints of my color film photos but for now it makes black-and-white printing easier. #photography #darkroom

my car door handle broke on Wednesday, and yesterday it came completely off in the parking lot of a Toyota dealership I had just picked up the replacement handle from. Fortunately, it was stupid easy to replace, as if Toyota anticipated this. Just remove one screw and the old handle comes out.

Film photography is a great way to prevent AI and a-holes from stealing your work because you’ve got a physical copy that was never touched by a computer which you can use to prove it’s your work! Also, 1977 camera on 1976 train car!
