The minimum wage should not have age bands. I was once taught to do a part-time job by a 17 year old and paid more than her for the privilege. I don't see how that's not, at the very least, socially frowned upon.

Politicians who don't believe in something will massively over-correct when they need to triangulate, because they have no frame of reference for what they can compromise on. You see it with Conservatives trying to out-Reform Reform on immigration, and now we see it with Labour and flags.

Ironic that it's taken a party founded by labour unions this long to work out that, when they act collectively, they can't be pushed around by their boss.
