9pm and for the first time in 2025, the sun lights up the wall outside my flat... in 3 weeks it will creep onto my inside wall at 10pm, before returning to whence it came.

Today, Sunday 8th, the old Liverpool buses are back on the road for one day only! Delighted though l am at this retro indulgence, l may forgo a jaunt on this 1969 beauty that l was flung from the open platform onto harsh 8.45am gravel by an overenthusiastic driver by in 1970, cos, y'know, it hurt!

Today, August 26th, is International Dog Day. If you have a dog or dogs, this is their day, whether they're international or parochial. I don't have a dog but l do like dogs; here in Morecambe this Bank Holiday Weekend, there are lots of dogs. Here's a Cardi l had as a chum a while ago.
