I'm in Exeter next weekend, l'm avoiding travelling after dark as l'm still suffering with pneumonia so come early!

Seeing as no one reads my posts l feel it won't cause undue shock to announce that l've had pneumonia since the beginning of December, been treated at 2 hospitals & am officially "on the mend". By the last week of Feb l should be my old self, ready to meet Beano fans of old London town.

Anyone else binge watching Hoover and his Swiss Cheese analyses? (If you know, you know, if you don, it 's not what you think!)

4 months after cousin Pam told us she'd seen a group at the Cavern that lunchtime and we'd never guess what they were called (The Beatles, incidentally) she helped my sister Alison & me clear snow on Boxing Day 1962. It snowed again & again & again... finally thawing in March 1963. It was cold.

Today, Sunday 8th, the old Liverpool buses are back on the road for one day only! Delighted though l am at this retro indulgence, l may forgo a jaunt on this 1969 beauty that l was flung from the open platform onto harsh 8.45am gravel by an overenthusiastic driver by in 1970, cos, y'know, it hurt!

Today, August 26th, is International Dog Day. If you have a dog or dogs, this is their day, whether they're international or parochial. I don't have a dog but l do like dogs; here in Morecambe this Bank Holiday Weekend, there are lots of dogs. Here's a Cardi l had as a chum a while ago.
