Today we took part in the World's Largest Swim Lesson to bring awareness to the importance of water safety. Pools from all over the United States and abroad joined together for this great event! We had over 40 kids take part. Next year will be bigger and better than ever. #WLSL

Over the past few years, the Skokie Park District has donated parts from three playgrounds (Peccia, Playtime and Hamlin Parks) to communities in Armenia, making it possible for them to build two full playgrounds for children who had none in the village of Ujan.

NEW LAUTH PARK PLAYGROUND OPEN! The new Lauth Park Playground is open, with work still remaining including landscaping and connecting the water fountain. This park renovation is one of three being funded through a $500,000 grant from 9th District Congresswoman Jan Shakowsky’s office.

2025 PARK BOARD MEMBERS SWORN IN, OFFICERS ELECTED The five-member Skokie Park District board of commissioners elected its new officers this week at its 2025 annual meeting. In addition, four commissioners were sworn in for 2025-26 after being elected in April.
