A couple of years ago, I went on this cast iron cookware kick. After a few attempts at using them, I fell out of love and went with nonstick cookware. Decided to go back after purchasing some boneless cross rib steaks. Hot damn! They were delicious.

I watched that Night of the Living Deb recently. Don't know how I missed it. I thought it was pretty entertaining.

I used to be in concert band in high school. Around this time, we'd have to play Christmas music at various locations. It was depressing. I remember overheated auditoriums and blurry vision from yawning so much. I'm still no fan of holiday music all these years later.

Red chile turkey enchiladas for lunch. I just surprised myself how delicious this came out. Not a fan of how flavorless turkey is so I decided to do something different with most of the leftover meat.

Those vaccine shots I got yesterday have a couple of aftereffects. Hope Pop is feeling better than I am right now. Glad we got 'em though.

I worked at the fairgrounds during the state fair one year. They stiffed me a couple weeks' pay. We were supposed to pick up our checks but they had no record of me being employed there. The supervisors seemed a bit shady in hindsight. Luckily, I was able to make rent anyway.

I lived in Albuquerque twice from 2000-2007 and never really went to the balloon fiesta. I'd seen the balloons in the distance as I ran errands or commuted to work and school. I guess the anxiety made me avoid the crowds and traffic. I don't think I missed much though.

Well, UPS decided to change my address on a delivery like I don't know where I live. I had them investigate. Instead of letting me know anything, they claimed I refused delivery and returned it back to the sender. What the hell is up with them these days?!

One of those days, I guess. It's been a struggle to get much done while I'm home. Pop's meal delivery never showed from the senior center either. Doggo's about the only consistent thing. She's so great.

Received an email that I'm supposed to have received a payment at noon but nothing's showed anywhere in the app. That's what set this adventure in motion.

Trying to get help from Venmo is a pain in the ass today. Virtual assistant/chatbot doesn't help at all. The phone options end up telling you to use the app. I finally decide to lie about the issue in the menu options and it says I'd be transferred to a rep. Been on hold for thirteen minutes now.

You don't know who's got violence in them nowadays. It's fucked up how I'm obligated to physically meet with people who might be that way. I tried setting it up via Zoom or Webex so I wouldn't have to worry but it's someone's bright idea to meet in person. I'm not feeling too great about it.
