Drawing a mosquito trapped in amber for part of a larger poster. The poster will be screen printed, so my plan is to have the mosquito printed first, then semi transparent amber colors printed over it, then the lines of the amber itself printed last. Hopefully it will create a strong sense of depth!

RIP Drew Struzan. Your work and career were a huge inspiration to me and so many other artists. It was always a pleasure to see you work on posters for newer movies. My condolences to his family and friends. Thank you for a lifetime of inspiration Drew!

For the dinos I’ve been drawing lately, my inspiration was mostly William Stout and Frank Frazetta. I really appreciate the sense of volume and scale they create with their ink marks. I did it in my own way, but they were definitely an inspiration for me!
