Having lost the first 17 games - I finally won. Never playing again.

Bumped into an ex student in Costa. Cost me a hot chocolate (with Marsh Mallows). School wasn’t always the smoothest for him but so good to catch up. He was running his own recruitment business remotely from Costa and has played American Football for GB since I last saw him 👏👏👏👏👏.

We won but it wasn’t much of a game.

Half term starts tomorrow and I am between roles - new headship starts after half term. It’s bizarre - I literally have nothing to do.

You hear so many stories about the challenges of recruiting great staff. We took on a phenomenal English ECT today. Just fabulous.

We were thrilled to send three different groups of students down in the final 10 days of term. 120 students getting a really positive experience and enjoying becoming politically active. Thanks for the opportunity.

London is just wonderful this evening! There is so much nonsense talked about how much trouble there is. It’s beautiful and diverse and incredibly welcoming. Great day.

Mrs M - about to compete in a doubles HYROX, I have completed a single roast dinner. Equally impressive feats of endurance.

I joined @willenhalle-act.bsky.social two years ago and the difference in the quality of what is going on in the classrooms is huge. Visited every room today. Learning was fantastic. Teachers were fabulous. The atmosphere in classrooms was warm, welcoming and full of challenge.

Went #oncall for the first three lessons today. I was blown away by the quality of the learning @willenhalle-act.bsky.social such a diverse and positive learning diet - and I got plenty of steps in.

I said it was a practical car!

All true. Cynic in me says another reason couldn't last was those at the top of hierarchies don't cope well with this. I remember a few times when someone with a big job stumbled into a discussion and seemed genuinely angry when people wouldn't defer to them in the way I assume they were used to.

If I was convinced by what Shabana Mahmood is saying about immigration, I'd vote Reform. If I was dubious but then persuaded my on balance, I'd vote Reform. I don't understand what they think they are doing.
