I was young and unemployed, sitting with a friend who had almost got electrocuted at his job, but had bought a new car on the workers comp he was making for doing nothing - when he asked me. Have you ever considered trimming trees from the electric lines?

This does not sit well for the American people. Our gut is telling us something is wrong here. The question comes up over and over again: if there’s nothing to hide, then why is the President engaged in such a clear cover up and pressure campaign of Members of Congress?

I’ve been thinking since I heard Todd Snider died Friday. My daughter, eleven going on 15, wanted to see the Kenny Wayne show on Mayo Island downtown so - the wife and I took her. Opening for KWS (her initials too) was Todd. /1

Karoline Leavitt does almost daily press briefings. There should be equal and opposite briefings from Democrat spokespeople to counter her lies. God knows there would be plenty of material to counter.

Congratulations Democrats! You shut down the government in order to fund ACA subsidies for millions of American’s healthcare and after 40 days of pain for furloughed federal employees and essential workers you caved after getting absolutely nothing.

If you do one thing today, read and share this link. It is the tech oligarchs’ plan to take over the government and build a post-democratic America, proven to be well underway. To understand the tech bros, we must think like them—they view our democracy as an outdated system that must be replaced:

Many in Trump’s administration now live on military bases, to shield themselves from the majority of Americans they are screwing over in favor of the oligarchs. Many Republicans won’t do town halls. They avoid the citizenry because they’ve stopped serving them. We deserve much better.

Trump's tariffs are hurting us in two ways: First, the obvious: Higher costs → either lower profits or higher prices. Second, more subtle (perhaps bigger): We’ve signaled we’re an unreliable partner, so allies are reorganizing supply chains to avoid us. That's hard to unwind.

I renewed my license plate today for both cars for two more years. It’s normally $52 a year but I bought an EV last year and they want $250 extra because I don’t buy gasoline. Any hoo I registered my 2001 Suburban 2500 (8200 pounds and 10 miles/gallon) for $100 and my EV for $350.
