That was the quintessential Spurs performance of recent years. Almost arrogantly half-arsing every aspect of the game and getting it hilariously wrong. Not sure why the team, in various XIs & systems, feels this might work. Forest are rubbish but we can't even string a few passes together. Wake up.

I am really glad we delayed making a decision on Solanke's ankle injury and then opted for the minor surgery option. It would've been terrible to go through the first four months of the season without him being fully fit..

The worst part is Spurs are a boring watch. There is no attacking plan. It's set pieces and moments of individual brilliance but collectively? I don't see any patterns to what we are trying to do in the final third. No promising combinations. Simple, safe passes. Everything is risk averse. Rubbish.

I'm kind of numb to Spurs at this point. It feels like we need 3-4 near perfect windows to get the squad right. The over reliance on Harry & Son set us back so much as there was no succession plan, not even to help ease the burden on them. We just squeezed & squeezed. And now it's a total reset.

That second half I don't mind. How much of it was based on Arsenal being 3-0 up, I don't know, I just want to see effort to give me a bit of hope. Most times, you simply lose to the better side. But what you can't do is roll over and not even put up a fight. That first 45 mins was awful.
