As Co-Chairs of the British Buses All-Party Group, Euan Stainbank and I met with Local Transport Minister @simonlightwood.org.uk to discuss support for our domestic bus manufacturers. 🚌 I’ll continue making the case to support companies like Alexander Dennis and keep skilled jobs in our area

It was great to catch up with the team from Vivid Homes. 🏠 We discussed our community’s housing needs, improving the standards of our existing homes, plans for future development and my constituents’ housing cases.

Congratulations to The Ferns Primary Academy in #Farnborough on receiving their best ever report from Ofsted. I was delighted to visit them as part of my ongoing tour of local schools.

This week I caught up with our local Phyllis Tuckwell team and heard about their plans for a new hospice. While PT and other hospices are staying neutral on #AssistedDying, I hope this debate will shine a light on their invaluable work and move us towards better end of life care for everyone.

Today I listened to nearly five hours of debate on the #AssistedDyingBill. It was humbling to hear so many heartfelt arguments from all sides. After much reflection, I voted against the Bill due to the pressure I fear it will place on the most vulnerable. 1/

Today I helped reopen #Yateley Police Station alongside Hampshire Police Chief Constable Scott Chilton, @alexkbrewer.bsky.social and our PCC. The Labour Government is boosting police funding by more than £500m next year to help restore Neighbourhood Policing and deliver our Safer Streets Mission.

Children definitely ask the best questions! I continued my tour of local schools with a visit to Frogmore Junior School. Thank you to all the staff and students for welcoming me during #ParliamentWeek.

Too many Forces Families are understandably worn down by accommodation issues that take far too long to get sorted. A new independent Armed Forces Commissioner will help put this right and renew our nation’s contract with those who serve.

A great night at Farnborough International for the Hampshire Business Awards with Rushmoor Council Leader Gareth Williams - championing enterprise and local companies achieving great things in our community.

Aldershot needs and deserves the same good access to 5G data as the rest of the country. I’m pleased that Ministers will be making this a priority after I raised this in Parliament on Wednesday.
