Me last night after my husband casually suggested we catch up on A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms before our flight this morning (I knew the source material and in his defense he’s used to the lighthearted tone of the show thus far)

I thought the kid versions of these things were an act of terrorism but in Scottsdale they have adult versions with riders half drunk.

As a Native finding a frybread joint while traveling evokes so many memories from going to powwows as a kid. Hearing the drum circles and gourd rattles. Watching the dancers. Most vividly devouring fresh frybread drizzled with honey and powered sugar. This was good stuff. 😮‍💨

Phoenix got jokes

Pan-African for brunch. Latha staff were so welcoming and inviting. The taste of food is amplified by hospitality imo. Oxtail Shakshouka and the whipped goat cheese were perfect. Phoenix so far has been terrific food wise and very diverse beyond Mexican.

Huarachis Taqueria in Phoenix is a good start to a weekend of gluttony. Those beans are easily the best I’ve had at any Mexican restaurant. Love their creative drink menu as well.
