It’s rough out there, but I’m developing a panel about transitioning from fanfic writing to original works. Really hoping CPAC accepts it, and I’m gonna try for Otakon and Philly Animate too. Here’s hoping being back on my bullshit works out.

While I'm here... - Katsucon was great. I felt fucking adorable as Charlie. - Querying is not great but what else is new? - I'm starting a new book and not being in gradschool is making it easier to experiment with slower styles (like writing by hand) - Fandom writing is the delight of my life.

I have not had a lot of bandwidth for social media lately, but this is super important. If you are able to support it, please do.

Oh yes, I have author social media. This wolf has been burying herself in fandom fun and cosplay prep, while plotting a new book project. Expect some posts from me this weekend from Katsucon and then hopefully in the coming weeks ramblings about first drafts. Life goes on.

I am living for the live reports from Magfest I am getting from my nieces and nephews. “I saw the character you like that needs therapy!” “Honey, that doesn’t narrow it down.” I love my family so much. 😂

My dog Freya is by the vet’s best guesstimate, twelve years old this month. Words cannot describe how much this girl’s love has changed me and helped me grow. She is the first dog in my life I got to pick out and take home from my shelter and she is still queen of my heart. 1/2

No rest for the wicked. Gonna keep on fighting this year, and not going to let anyone steal my light and my passion. Happy 2026, all.

This was my first time completing a full vigil in all the years I’ve practiced. I usually stay up late and wake up early as I am NOT an all nighter human. Throwing down my bedroll so I could doze but still keep the candles going helped. Yule Cat Slumber party FTW! Welcome back, sun! Happy Yule!

I'm still standing and slowly remembering how to both smile and write again. I'm having a good time splishy splashing in a nice cozy corner of the Hazbin fandom, and I'm even starting to outline my next book. But rejections are still pouring in & things are slow.There is no rushing through grief.

I have been swimming in grief and bad news, but I finally have something good to announce. My flash fiction piece, “The Drowning of Loki” will be published in the next issue of @icaruszine.bsky.social! @aprilrc.bsky.social thank you for telling me to channel my grief into it.

A friend of mine died earlier this week and I've not been okay. Doing my best to pull myself back together.

That awkward moment where your ability to do your day job hangs in the balance of a local election and your moonlighting job gives you non stop rejections and you feel your sanity slowly leaving your body so you just say FUCK IT and write fanfic. Anyway, have a cat.

Just got out of Beetlejuice! Wooops uh I wasn’t expecting to get emotional about grief. But that show was very good - very appropriate for Halloween, and very appropriate for Samhain (in my own strange view) Anyway, BEETLEBUBU BEETLEBUBU BEETLEBUBU!!!

To celebrate our 16th wedding anniversary today we are in front row of Beetlejuice on Broadway! So excited for the show!!! It’s definitely nerd central here and I love it! 🎃

Woke up at 5am to a rejection from an agent I really liked. Then I pulled myself out of bed, walked the dogs, and wrote a bit of my next book. Fuck this system. I will make it through.

It was a lovely weekend with my family, and I love my nieces and nephews so much. But the Loki flash fiction piece I'm working on is pushing me to new (and kinda scary) places. Still gonna do my best, but I think for tonight I need a break.

My weigh in on the controversy is that I am going to watch my little queer cartoon instead of wasting what precious time I have for joy and relaxation arguing about semantics over a shithead.

I am contemplating small presses. Does anyone have any suggestions on reliable ones to submit to? It's for an LGBTQ+ Historical/Folklore based Fantasy. I'm still doing the agent hunt, but just expanding my options! #writingcommunity
