Lancashire being dragged down to 14 by Manchester is yet another reason why Lancashire CC need to play in Preston or ideally Lancaster.

My Dad died last week. He was 95 so not a surprise and indeed it was something of a relief. We've got a labrador whose 15 and getting very close to us having to make that awful decision. I'm going to be absolutely heartbroken by this which is maybe an indictment on my dad's parenting.

In today's Budget, the Chancellor spoke about building the economy “brick by brick” but left out the very foundation that underpins it all: nature. The same Government that promised to restore our natural world appears instead to have wiped it from their agenda.

Last night the Government steamrollered its Planning Bill through, slamming the door on vital protections for nature. They said it would be a ‘win-win’ for the economy and nature. But in reality, they’ve pushed nature into last place.

They treat nature like it has no voice. But it does. Yours, ours, and millions more. If you believe nature deserves better than this, make sure your MP hears it loud and clear:

Tell the UK Government they must do better for nature!
I've just emailed my MP to tell them what nature means to me and that I want it to stay protected. Will you take action too?

Amendment 40 to the Planning and Infrastructure Bill has been voted down. Had it passed, it would have meant more precious wildlife would have retained existing protections. Instead, MPs have bought into the false 'nature vs growth' narrative.

For months, ministers have been pushing a false choice between nature and growth. Now, new research shows just how out of touch they are. With data from More In Common, it's time to set the record straight. 👇

I reckon one of them can't take his laptop into Currys due to the content on his hardrive. One has an injuction against him coming within 2 miles of his wife and kids. One pretends he's a hard drinking womaniser but secretly visits gay saunas where he's used as a glory hole.

Six weeks ago, I picked up a year-old tawny owl with a broken leg off the main road near our home and dropped him off at our nearest vet. After a few days, I received one of the most bizarre phone calls I’ve ever had, asking “So when are you coming to pick up your owl?” 🧵

While saying they want to "preserve nature" the Conservative Party have just pledged to scrap the Climate Change Act. This makes no sense. How do more floods, more droughts, and rising temperatures "preserve" nature? That's what scrapping the Act will lead to.
