I completely missed that Enzo Maresca had left Chelsea. Was just reading an article about it and came across this line: "Chelsea, who are fifth in the Premier League after one win in seven games..." Immediately thought about how shit the PL is these days. Competitive but low in quality.

That Stranger things finale was a bit meh but I think it was a very difficult series to round off properly. One thing (of many) that is hilariously baffling is where were the Demos? Just not there at all.

What I don't understand is why his approach wasn't more like Villa or Bournemouth? We largely played a 3 at the back in those matches but the WBs were much higher up. It's not simply a formation thing (although I have always disliked 3 at the back); It's the underlying caution that riles me up.

In a week where Amorim talked about learning from his mistakes, it was almost funny that he made the same mistakes he made repeatedly last season. He's scared to drop points when he should be going hell for leather to win them. The team is playing with fear because he is managing with fear.

Amorim has had a nightmare tonight. Right from the starting lineup (or at least the system) to the in-game decisions. Also, regardless of formation, I just don't think he is an attacking manager. He's not a "throw the kitchen sink at it" guy. It needs to be part of his thinking in games like this.

Only Dorgu really did ok out of the three that we really needed to step up tonight. Sesko was generally quite average though unlucky with the header that hit the post. Cunha was awful tonight. Kept on holding on to it far too long. Just give and go, mate. Basic stuff.

Someone tell me what position Fletcher plays? Cos it feels like he's been thrown under the bus. Looks completely lost in these games. Maybe he's just not that good but he just looks like he's a traditional CM that's been asked to play out wide. Like asking Ugarte to do it.

And why does he always sub a CB? Completely unnecessary.

Agree. With this system we have 7 defensive players. When Casemiro or Martinez pick up the ball they rarely have an outlet. Mainly cos it's only Cunha working hard. Dorgu / Dalot starting positions are very deep as well so they're often behind or level with the ball. Need them ahead of it.

Also have to ask what the set piece coach is telling these guys. As soon as Zirkzee has got his head on it, half our players react as though he's cleared it up the pitch instead of putting it into the danger zone. Brain dead.

Absolute waste of space Zirkzee is and Ugarte is proper thick as shit. Haul off Zirkzee at HT. I celebrated that goal but it was going well wide. He needs to come off. Gives us nothing. Totally useless. And we can't carry players in this depleted team.

What kind of header is that from Zirkzee. Got lucky with the goal. Aside from that he's been absolute toilet.

No outlet for Cunha because Zirkzee is hanging out with the Wolves defenders instead of finding space.

Why is Ugarte like this? He's a bad influence on Casemiro as well cos he thinks he has to take on the passing mantle. Spraying 40 yard balls into the stands.

Paqueta just rugby tackled Dunk to the ground and then wondered why a penalty was given. Lol. This guy just won't beat the allegations.

Massive game for Sesko, Cunha & Dorgu for different reasons. Sesko needs to just step up overall and provide a proper threat. For Cunha, he needs to be more clinical in the final third but his overall level of performance is excellent. Dorgu will want to build on his performance vs Newcastle.

The lineup tonight is pretty much the only thing Amorim could put out with the players available. I understand it but if it was me I wouldn't have played Zirkzee after the absolutely pitiful performance he put in against Newcastle. I'd have banished him from the squad.

Reckon @tottenhamhotspur.com could do with some reinforcements in attack. We have a frizzy haired genius who just doesn't quite fit into our system. Would be perfect for you lot. He was brilliant against Newcastle the other day. Wonderful cameo after coming off the bench.

9 pts is the only acceptable return from these games, even with players unavailable. Two main areas of improvement will help achieve that: - Sesko needs to step up. - Cunha has been performing well but needs to be more clinical. Only Haaland has taken more shots than him in the PL this season.

It would also continue the strategy of signing the best players from PL clubs like we did with Cunha & Mbeumo. It's not revolutionary but it is a solid foundation for a transfer strategy. Which is one reason why I liked the Semenyo transfer. Proven PL performer, good age profile, versatile.

Also, the more I watch Eliot Anderson the more impressed I am. And the stats back it up. Featuring high up in the following categories: most completed passes, most progressive passes, most touches, most fouls won, most ball recoveries, most tackles... All action midfielder. Sign him up!

His performance against Newcastle was a disgrace. Form and talent can be variable but there should never be a question about your effort and intensity. Zirkzee has ticked exactly zero of those boxes. Limited talent, shocking form, pitiful effort and the intensity of a trifle. Totally useless.
