I'm working on a new version of the Line Tool, and I'm really pleased with the design and heat maps. Here it shows fenwick performance against league average - Blue equals better than the league average, Red means worse than the league average. What do you think?

This is great and I use it to confirm what I feel or see about games, players, or teams since I discovered it. It's wild to me that when I started covering women's hockey we didn't even have replays for most games, now we have heat maps and some tracking capabilities...

Ottawa Charge have had great results at 5v5, while their xGF% are slightly below average. Toronto Sceptres are the opposite.

Alex Carpenter and Claire Thompson lead the PWHL in points so far in the season.

Emerance Maschmeyer has been the best goalie so far in the PWHL season according to my simple xG model.

I've made some updates to the PWHL viz, so now you can also see the Teams and Games pages. Some of it requires a bit of an explanation, but in general blue is good and red is bad in the heat maps. I plan to make a similar viz for the AHL - It's the same data provider.

Happy New Years! I've spend some time during the Christmas break to work on a simple Big Data Cup project. The data has been anonymized, but you can select a Team, a specific Puck position (image 2) and/or a specific player (image 3). Link to the tool here: hockey-statistics.com/statistics/

The PWHL data link on the website was accidentally setup so that everyone could edit. This means that someone deleted the data (I didn't know this could happen). Anyway, now it's re-uploaded and everyone can view the data (I still think you can download the data). hockey-statistics.com/pwhl/
