Today, to wrap up the week, we’re sharing three stunning macro photos of some Cystoseira species by Francesco Martini 📸💖 1️⃣ First one is ‘Ericaria crinita’. As you can see, it has finger-like branches with rounded, cylindrical tips. Several branches also grow from the same base.

Today we have the honor of sharing that Enric “Kike” Ballesteros has been posthumously named a National Geographic Explorer @natgeo. For us, Kike was our mentor and a guiding figure within the Marine Forest group.

Today is World Water Day 💧 And we would like to speak up for this precious good with some facts: 👤 A human body is 60-70% water. 🌊 Oceans cover 71% of all the planet. 🧂 97,5% of water is salty. And only 2,5% is fresh. 🧊 More than 68% of fresh water can be found in glaciers and ice.

🙌🏽 Why on International Day of Forests we would love to dive? 🤿 Marine forests can also be considered forests. Two close examples are Kelp forests in the north of Spain, or Cystoseira forests in the Mediterranean 🪸
