Today we just got a $3000 medical bill (yes, in Canada) and we're still recovering from my wife's cancer/hysterectomy surgery, all our vet bills from the cats, my own progressing disability/blindness, our exploded furnace. So many have helped. I thank you all. But I need to keep asking.

In the past year my wife has gone through two major surgeries, found out she might have cancer, list our little kitten after a long illness and had to deal with our furnace dying in the middle of Alberta winter. She is amazing and I’d beg every day for her sake.

I've been really sick lately, so I haven't been posting much. I really feel like my head is made out of cotton that's on fire, but I do want to say thank you all for helping Julian and I through the awful situations we went through this winter. Things aren't good, but we're trying to get through.

We have been really busy trying to survive and we’re very grateful for all the help so many people have given us. There are some things that are much better and some things that are getting worse as life tends to be. Thank you so much

We are getting better in terms of health issues -- Julian is healing, and I have doctor appointments upcoming. But things are very tight financially, due to expenses like our cat Puck's medical care and our furnace dying back in 2024. We need help.

My wife is still healing, in a lot of pain but slowly getting stronger and hopefully we're past the worst of the medical stuff. We're still very much in financial crisis, but at least we're hopeful she'll mend. If you can help us please do.

Still pretty desperate

Both Julian and I are very grateful to everyone who has contributed to this. We are almost halfway to our goal. Unfortunately, she will not be able to go back to work for months so I have to keep asking.

Yesterday she finally had her stitches out, so now all we have to worry about is infection and losing the house because she can't work. The tumor was almost the size of her entire uterus. Since I can't really do anything else, I'm asking for help still.

Honestly, I think without Veilguard I'd have completely lost my shit over the past couple of months.

What I know, a week or so after they are home, is that my spouse is still in agony (which is not surprising because she has an incision scar the length of a ruler on her abdomen) and I am forced to watch her in so much pain day in, day out. This is my personal hell.

I am back from the hospital. She is in an extraordinary amount of pain, and we have a scar that most people would never imagine, but she smiled at me and held my hand and for a minute I stopped being so afraid. I hope we can get through this. Without her I don’t have a life.

She goes in for surgery in about two hours and all I can do is sit here and wait and retweet this

Tomorrow is surgery day

Julian and I have been married for 19 years this year. Seeing her navigate this while dealing with so many other disasters has made me realize I would do anything for her. Even beg the internet for help.

This is why I so completely love her that she can somehow make me wear our dog and make it a quiet miracle.

I haven’t been reposting this as often as I should because quite frankly, it’s really depressing to realize how deep in the holy you are and how hard it’s gonna be to get through the period of after the surgery. We need help, but it’s hard to face it.
