Been handling the state of the world by stress eating leftover Cheetos from my kid’s birthday party while I have my third (and not last) cup of coffee. When I run out of tiny bags of Cheetos I’ll have to move onto the Funyuns but I don’t think that pairing will be as successful.

My husband is in his early forties and is growing his beard out for the first time. I told him he has to keep it through June so I can finally get him one of those beard grooming kits I always see advertised for Father’s Day.

I know it’s an apocalypse because Buffy’s coming back. I did not expect to find actual joy in the apocalypse.

My friend is having a Golden Girls themed bachelorette, and I went thrifting for an outfit. I ended up coming home with *multiple* options because they were cute and I could wear them in everyday life. Elder chic is apparently my vibe now.

My four-year-old son’s favorite Christmas movie is Hot Frosty. He’s made us watch it three times so far, and because he’s sick I have a feeling he’s going to get us to watch it at least two more times before Christmas.

With how frequently my one-year-old tries to crawl into the dishwasher, I would not be surprised if she found a doorway to Narnia beyond the bottom rack.

Me, trying to make small talk with a stranger in an elevator: Are you traveling for the holidays? My 4 year old, pokes me in the chest: That’s your boob!

My birthday is in a few days and my husband doesn’t get me flowers because our cat eats them, so instead he got me five bags of coffee. My love language is caffeine. ☕️ 🖤

My toxic trait is thinking THIS TIME is the time I can read Love You Forever to my children without bawling.

This morning my husband took my kids to Target and the mall to give me time to write without interruptions. I drank a pot of coffee and cranked out 2000 words, and he returned with two sleepy kids (the baby passed out holding a breadstick). 10/10 morning, no notes.

Started Friday the 13th off with my 4 year old bursting into the room at 4:30, wailing because our neighbor had turned his Christmas lights off at some point in the night, and we—like absolute fools—had not.

I finally figured out my moon and rising signs and astrologically speaking, I’m just a menace.

We have to give the kids something to believe in, they’re on tiktok trying to save us by doing the OA choreography.

I thought I was the final girl, but the stomach bug that claimed my kids and husband finally got me. Trying to use this down time to brainstorm some plot points of my millennial witchy WIP but being this coffee deprived I can’t tell if they’re viable. Can’t wait for caffeinated me to wtf my notes.

I went into public wearing socks and sandals, and came home with a cowboy Santa hat if that’s any indication of where my mental health is at.

Finishing line edits+the election+a stomach bug that’s claimed my husband and kids=a simple Target run for Gatorade and soup that detours into a Michael’s pit stop, where I couldn’t leave without purchasing a Santa cowboy hat.
