The LCT Centre no longer recognises “Columbia University” as a university, because it has forfeited its institutional autonomy to become an arm of the US Justice Dept.

After reading an intro like this it's also worth reading the original paper by Karl Maton that introduces Semantic Waves legitimationcodetheory.com/wordpress/wp... which is where I first found out about it and realised how well it helped me teach computing especially unplugged and using metaphors.

#pharmacology2024 - Roisin Kelly -Laubscher from Cork University explores the use of language in assessment through consideration of semantic density and semantic gravity, and the nuances of command words like 'discuss' and 'describe'. Language really does matter!

This is the autonomy dimension of LCT but you can also do the same with Semantics creating graphs of Semantic pathways and see semantic waves (or not) in your lesson plan. Then you are thinking about eg the abstractness versus concreteness of the way you present concepts
