I so love the 2007 BBC #Persuasion. Anne’s family rile me up and Rupert Penry-Jones does a resentful, brooding, broken hearted Wentworth so well. And Sally Hawkins played our passive, easily persuaded heroine to a tee. But it’s my fave Austen and I would so love a new, faithful adaptation too.

My Dad passed away yesterday. I want to honour him by telling people about him. Proud of his service as a British officer in the 7th Gurkha Rifles, he was a snappy dresser who loved a few pints at the pub with friends. And when he smiled he lit up the room with a glint in his eye. We love you Dad 💜

I finished The Favourites on audiobook while in Nepal. It’s supposedly inspired by Wuthering Heights but set in the figure skating world.
