My understanding is Stoutland’s role was going to be adjusted this season. As @jeff-mclane.bsky.social reported last week, the run game coordinator responsibilities shifted last season.

It's hard to view this as anything other than a major loss for the Eagles. Stoutland is one of the best coaches in his organization's history. He's lasted through 3 coaches and multiple schemes.

On a personal level: I've seen Stoutland's effect on the careers and the lives of so many men who've come through that locker room. He cared for Brandon Brooks and Lane Johnson when they needed him most — well beyond the field. As someone who loves football, I'll miss watching him coach at practice
