Shading practice with whatever this thing is

I'm kind of rusty drawing, so I think most of the gay agenda is gonna have to go on hold The drawing for my friend needs a bit of fine tuning before it's all wrapped up, and I still plan to draw Fair and Blaire soon, but for now, I'm gonna draw some smaller stuff instead.

I keep seeing posts like this and it’s always from people I really look up to, and it always feels like it’s directed specifically at me when it shows up ;-;

I hate wanting to asking someone for some tips on shading because they’re the person I’m inspired by the most, but I’m too scared of them to actually ask them for help I need a backbone, man

Unsurprisingly, I have not attained the self-control to not throw my energy into a big ass rendered drawing Though, I’ve recovered a lot quickly than I anticipated, so I guess it’s fine I’m at the coloring/rendering phase now, but I’m having some trouble so I’m leaving it here for today

So it turns out I’m just really fucking sick So that’s awesome Yeah I won’t be drawing much for a bit, maybe a couple doodles here and there, but I’ll try to have the self-control to not throw my energy into a whole ass rendered drawing …I’ll try to, at least.

I’ve gotten like the worst sleep ever after spending nine hours drawing yesterday and not managing to get even close to something I was proud of So Might not be drawing today And if I do it won’t be very much Sorry…

Beginning to realize whenever I draw someone, how I view them, and my interpretation of their personality plays a pretty big role in their design. Like I’ll add a lot of symbolism for what they mean to me, or try and give people a more intimidating appearance, and stuff like that

4/5 Beginning to think I’ve set too high of a bar for myself to have reasonably been able to complete it in a day while having it be something I’m proud of. I ought just accept that progress takes time, and I shouldn’t rush myself.

I’m quite slow and meticulous with my drawing so 2/5 sketches complete I’m happy with that though, and I’ll continue tomorrow

Today's drawing, in just the sketch phase this looks vastly different than what I normally make. Using my peers' art as reference, I wanna make the heads/faces look a little less weird looking, if that makes sense. Starting by trying to make the eyes smaller and spaced out a little further
