2025 — A Year That Changed Everything
A deeply personal reflection on 2025, the year I became a father, lost and rediscovered my sense of self, changed jobs to join Buffer, and learned to embrace a calmer approach to life while looking…

I’m this 🤏🏾 close to spin up my own little game for the World Cup 2026. A bit more interesting that just guessing the scores but still simple enough that players would be motivated enough to play through 104 matches

I built this in one shot with Claude Code. No back-and-forth. No "actually, can you change that." No fixing what it got wrong on the third try. I just gave it this one single prompt and it delivered:

With AI enabling non-engineers to write code and contribute to the product, what is the future of local dev environments? I don't want to send a designer or customer advocate pages of instructions to set up all the things. Are CDEs the answer? Is there anything new? Curious to hear your thoughts!

Today we crossed $25M in ARR at Buffer, a significant milestone for us 🎉 This one has extra meaning for me because now that we're above $25M we're closer to $30M than we are to $20M. This comes…

I'm building Maxout again. Five years ago I shut it down — not because it went bust, but because I lost the plot. New post on why, and what's different this time:

There’s something about history-based fiction that gets me every time. The feeling that the past holds secrets we haven’t uncovered yet. The Venetian Betrayal leans into that perfectly like the previous two already did. Love these Cotton Malone books 📚

People ask me what tools I use for coding. The honest answer: it's not one tool anymore. It's an entire ecosystem. Here's what my daily setup looks like as a frontend engineer at Buffer 🧵

Claude's scheduled tasks: What do you use them for? The only thing that I use them for at the moment is to weekly update some npm packages for projects and create a PR for these changes (basically what dependabot does but in a single PR instead of multiple)

One of the biggest improvements in my workflow recently has basically been talking to AI using a speech-to-text tool like Wispr Flow. Especially with multiple instances of Claude running, talking instead of typing makes you a lot quicker.

Designers and PMs that code, engineers that ship entire UIs that actually don't suck. Things have changed so much recently and I love it. It's just a matter of time that these roles will merge into one single. A builder (or how the Laravel community would say: "Artisans")

Are We All Just Builders Now?
Something has been shifting quietly in product teams over the last year or two. What if the roles we've built our industry around are less permanent than we think?

Looking for Claude Code experts: How do I trigger a skill from a hook? Is that possible? For example, I want to run a specific skill if the user prompt contained a specific word. How would I set that up?

Not sure if anyone else feels the same but these days my bottleneck for productivity is not waiting for others to review my PRs anymore but actually reviewing what each of my Claude instances produced.

Back in the days, I used to stay up to date with what happens in the Laravel community by just following some key people on Twitter. Now that I've left that platform and moved here, I feel like I'm not catching up on the same amount of information. What do you folks do to stay up to date?
