I meant to ask this during Sunday’s #HATM but forgot : if Remmick’s goal was to get Sammy and they needed to get into the joint to do so , and he allegedly had some form of control over Mary and Stack , why not have one of them tag Sammy while they were still inside the place after turning?

I’ve never seen this very last post credit scene. But heard about it. There is a theory that the individual Sammy sees off camera might be his father and there’s a possibility it might be the devil to whom he is going to sell his soul. It might be he’s in the afterlife. #HATM

Ryan Coogler has a fascination with the year 1992. This movie ends in that year, and it’s also the year Black Panther begins. It’s also the year Malcolm X was released in theaters which Coogler acknowledges is one of his favorite movies. #HATM

So here’s a question: if you could be with the love of your life for all eternity, but you had to be a blood sucking creature of the night, would you accept those terms ? #HATM

I’m kind of curious if stack and Mari are just living decent lives and staying out of the way or if they may have very well had a clan of vampires outside. They were nice to Sammy, but I highly doubt they were nice individuals. Probably not best to meet them in a dark alley. #HATM

This ending is very reminiscent of the ending of Black Panther with Killmonger looking at the sunset. And I can’t help, but wonder if the cancer Sammy has, or whatever disease he is going , is kind of a nod to what happened with Chadwick Boseman. #HATM

I didn’t notice the first time that stack doesn’t give a reflection in the mirror. #HATM

I think it’s a real shame so many people didn’t bother to stick around for the true ending. #HATM

Buddy Guy is the definitive cherry on top for this movie. He pretty much is blues music personified. #HATM

Given the time period, I highly doubt Smoke standing over the bodies of a bunch of dead white men could have been successfully defended by a trespassing law. Him getting fatally wounded and joining Annie and his kid is for the best . #HATM

Something very cathartic about this scene . #HATM

I was wondering why smoke didn’t get the clan into the barn and fire on them from an elevated position upstairs. But then I realized he might be protecting something in the barn. Hence the locked door …. #HATM

Stack said that Sammy could drive on the way back home, and Sammy does. #HATM

I interpret Remmick seemingly embracing death as a sign that vampires can join their ancestors after they die, but it’s the powers and promise of immortality that keeps them from choosing to do so. #HATM

My only complaint is that this scene reveals that it was less than an hour from the time they allowed the vampires in the Duke joint to sunrise. So they only had to last a few few more minutes. #HATM

Remmick got more beastly towards the end. I’m thinking that’s what happens the longer. You’re a vampire. And it explains why he has so many powers. #HATM

So notice that once Annie is dead, Remick, Mary, and stack all react negatively . That’s because Mari and Stack’s plan is now down the drain and Remmick has now lost his two MVPs. they no longer follow him and have abandoned the cult. #HATM

Grease caught a lot of crap from the online community. Ryan Coogler has since addressed it and gave the simple answer of “she’s a mother” #HATM

I like how Remic almost breaks the fourth wall right here #HATM

Like many good villains, Remmick is convinced he’s the good guy #HATM

Jack O’Connell is very good at playing cult leaders. #HATM

Remmick knows what he’s talking about. Not just from the memories he’s gained but from experience. #HATM

There is a case that Remmick was right, like Magneto (and Killmonger) before him, even if his methods are...unpleasant. #Sinners #HATM

Jack O’Connell did all of his own singing and dancing. Very impressive. #HATM

Wunmi Mosako said in an interview interview that the knowledge of vampires we get and viewpoint is only what Annie thinks and understands from her studies . She admits that it may not be the case for others. #HATM

Never mind the real time question. It showed him montage. So that answers that. #HATM

Here is my take on the vampires. When a person is turned, it basically gives them pure id as a personality. And given that they share a HIVEMIND with Remmick , and Remmick has his memories of discrimination, it’s easy to get them to follow his ideas . Like Magneto. #HATM

I’m not 100% on this, but do the events from the minute vampires first appear to the end of them occur in real time . #HATM

That blast to the face wound up screwing over cornbread in his vampire form. It keeps him from getting blood the way he needs to. So he can never heal. #HATM

I love Annie’s exchange with cornbread. She’s such a great character. And notice Smoke has no trouble accepting her advice. #HATM

Remmick reminds me a lot of Klau from Black Panther. He’s a bad guy, but he is having a lot of fun being one. #HATM

All of the early promotional material featured vampire Mary prominently. Even some of the posters. So I got a bit confused when she showed up in broad daylight for their first appearance. #HATM

Something to notice is that both of vampires and the people talk down to poor Delta slim. #HATM
