Palaeoplatyceros hispanicus- a muntjac-like deer from the Middle Miocene of Spain. Numerous antlers found on Otero Hill in Palencia allow to trace the age-related dimorphism of these animals. The illustration shows an adult, possibly even old, animal and a younger deer in the background.

Scary paleoart: deers Antifer ultra as skinwalkers. A little sketch for Halloween. And of course, I know geography separates these deer from Navajo mythology, but nevertheless, it will be like this)

Praedamalis howelli - an extinct antelope of the Hippotragini tribe from the Pliocene of Ethiopia, related to the oryx.

Here's a T. Rex bored to death trying to bite their own tail. My partner asked me to animate it in stop motion, after she watched a video about the very important topic of "could T. Rex chew its own tail like a dog". The puppet is still a work in progress 🦖

Bretzia pseudalces- deer from the early Pliocene of North America. Since pollen from trees of the genus Taxodium and evidence of seasonal accumulation of deer were found, I tried to depict one of these forests during the period of leaf fall.

Mammuthus primigenius- woolly mammoth.

Some fossil shells. I collect modern species, but sometimes I can't resist the pleasure of acquiring fossils. Camptonectes (Boreionectes) breviauris (Taumyr, Russia), gastropod core (Saratov region, Russia), Ampulina sp. (Dax, Landes, France)

In addition to creativity, I collect some things. I love colored stones, minerals and seashells. I haven't found much of what's listed here yet. But I saw some very inspiring works of art and thought that I should also show my treasures sometimes)

And now a little fantasy. I wanted to depict my character as a dragon. I'm not sure it looks like one, but I'm happy with the dragon. And some fragments for detail.

Samotragus crassicornis- an antelope-like or goat-like ungulate from the Miocene of Greece.

While I'm taking a break to create new works with prehistoric animals, here's a spoiler)

Bohlinia attica- prehistoric giraffid, miocene of Europe.

Bramiscus micros- newly discovered early giraffid from the Pakistan. The whole skull of the animal has not yet been found and there is an opinion that it could have had four ossicones, but I still focused on the two existing frontal horns, slightly indicating the theoretical rear ones.

Hippotragus leucophaeus or Bluebuck- an animal from the hippotragin subfamily, which finally disappeared in the early 19th century. For me, this was one of the most difficult images, since I had to use not only photographs of a few stuffed animals, but also the results of genetic research)

Tragelaphus strepsiceros grandis - a large subspecies of the greater kudu from Olduvai.

European lion Panthera leo europaea. Yes, yes, real lions (not cave lions) lived in Europe as early as the first century AD.

Inostrancevia alexandri. A predatory therapsid from the late Permian period. Some of the largest predators of their era, the inostraneviа became extinct before the start of the Triassic.

Another striped loss. The thylacine or Tasmanian wolf/tiger is a marsupial that inhabited Australia and Tasmania. It was finally exterminated in the first half of the 20th century.

And here, finally, are some newer works. This one depicts the historically extinct quagga zebra. This is a subspecies of savanna zebra that lived in South Africa until the end of the 19th century. The last specimen in the world died in the Amsterdam Zoo in 1883.
