Goemon's Great Adventure has probably my favorite depiction of Hell ever because halfway through the game you go to an island full of lava, poison, spinning blades and scary Halloween music but it's just a weird island that just happens to be like that

and then later in the game you get to actually visit literal real Hell and find out that it's just a foggy wood with mossy, dilapidated torii sinking into crystal clear water and the most beautiful, tranquil music you've ever heard

almost 20 years later and I still can't hear the phrase "may not look like much" without silently adding "my... ninja info cards" in my own mind

StarFox 64 is one of the sleeper best games of all time, and this does look pretty much like the best possible remake of it that anyone could ever ask for. But I still kiiinda think I would prefer a new game, rather than a 3rd remake of a game that was itself already a remake of the first StarFox

one thing Pokopia does so much better than DQB that it's not even funny is the soundtrack all-new compositions tailored to match the vibe of the zones, long loops with lots of pads and percussion and more subtle and restrained melodies, so it sort of fades into the background during long sessions
