#WIPSnips - Paw Back to A Feathered Thing. This is the low point for Ethan. The guy he's fallen for disappears with no way to contact him. He keeps hoping Kabuk will return, but as the weeks have passed, that hope fades.

#WIPSnips - Practice In a hockey romance, there are SO MANY instances of this word. I picked a short bit highlighting Derrick's reaction to stumbling across something he wasn't supposed to. He spent a sleepless night trying to decide what the right thing to do was and had practice the next morning.

#WIPSnips - Pocket A couple to chose from today in the same story, A Feathered Thing. I went with this one because it wasn't quite as literal as the others. It's middle-late in the story. Ethan is left alone. Suddenly, inexorably alone. He's not dealing with it well, but he keeps moving.

#WIPSnips - Half Unnamed fantasy. Gallif doesn't trust witches. Knowing he'd never have children, he promised a witch his firstborn for the thing he wanted most in the world. He thought himself cheated when all he got was the rod Drip was searching for.

#WIPSnips "Nowhere" From No One That Matters, a two-couple contemporary hockey romance -- coming out whenever I figure out where to put it and gather my courage. Suzy checks in on Derrick the morning after he broke his arm. He's trying to figure out how to do things one-handed.

#WIPSnips Many "eventually"s but only two "event"s. James and Theo are long-time friends, each finding someone special in this historical MM romance. Here James confesses his attachment to Edward. It's a first for him and he doesn't quite trust himself or that he deserves Edward's regard.

#WIPSnips #Sane Two days in a row? Work must be *fascinating* right now. Because of their disastrous history, hedge witches are no longer allowed to work on ships. No one told Lee that. Suspected of endangering the ship and its crew, Lee just wants to survive the contract and get back on land.

#WIPSnips #Tired Tyler’s on the phone with his bestie, Luke. The guy he’s been seeing sort of in secret, Thomas, invited him over. Thomas & Luke had a rocky intro in the 1st book of this MM duology. Ty called Thomas out for being shitty, which starts this book. There are a few issues to work out.

#WIPSnips #Scrub Fantasy WIP this time. While Gal refers to "the boy" throughout this, that character is an adult, clearly so in his POV scenes. He's just smaller than most men in Gal's society. He hasn't disabused Gal of his misunderstanding because he's infiltrating their gathering.

Thought I’d toss this out there before March ends. I did a little reading in February. You can tell that when I hit on a series I enjoy, I tend to stick with it. A few of these were re-reads. I’ve really enjoyed the Gillian St. Kevern series. They’re sort of bite-sized little spooky books.
