Astralis does take a herbal mixture (usually in tea but it can be smoked or wafted into the room) that Solas made, which helps him sleep dreamlessly (there's a similar mixture mentioned in Masked Empire). He's just sleepy, really out of it and will most likely rest on someone's shoulder for a nap.
