"Why I Don't Write with Generative AI" by Jason Sanford
These words aren’t about the tech companies worth billions of dollars or how they created generative AI models by pirating the works of artists and writers without permission or payment. These words a...

Why is this? It's largely because 1) Republicans eliminated tax credits that help pay for health coverage 2) R's set tips, seniors, and overtime provisions to expire in 2029 (the year Trump leaves office), while making permanent cuts for corporations / the wealthy

No, I’m sorry, if you’re telling people posting cat photos is a distraction from the real issues, you’re a Fed and you’re trying to make the movement eat itself.

It's all fun and games until … "Professor Gina Neff of Queen Mary University London told the BBC
#ChatGPT

I can confirm that this works. Just spent half an hour finally getting to talk to a real person, but was able to turn it off and I no longer see the "helpful" prompt offering to summarize a five sentence email for me
add a skeleton here at some point

OKAY. Here is how to actually turn off Gemini AI for your google workspace! 1) contact google support from admin panel and keep asking for a supervisor/to speak to a person. 2) ask them to enable settings in "Gemini for google workspace" 3) turn it off. I just did this and it worked.

Ah yes, I see it's the time of year when the Philanthropy Industrial Complex (Big P for short) seeds negative stories about Mackenzie Scott because everything about the way she gives money undercuts their entire model...

MacKenzie Scott's game-changing philanthropy still mystifies nonprofits: 'Her gifts are super generous, but unfortunately, they don’t provide long term sustainability'
"What they are saying with trust-based philanthropy is to offer support beyond a check," Indiana University's Pamela Wiepking says, "and that’s typically not what she is doing.”
