A freak spring storm moved through north of Saskatoon today. 0/10 do not recommend trying to find the road. So many were in the ditch. We were coming back from a funeral in Prince Albert and it was a total shock. #springstorm

Cinder needs love. She had emergency surgery yesterday to remove two cancerous growths from her ear. She is not barking right now because it hurts. Love is requested.

Update and thoughts on this book. Very very good. It holds a variety of people’s perspectives on the role of faith or church in their journey, from good to mixed to very bad. Speakers have a variety of illnesses, from PTSD to schizophrenia. Next linked comment has a few critiques.

One of my superpowers is baking. Now being celiac means it takes special care, sometimes with disappointing results. Yesterday I made a beautiful batch of my favourite Christmas treat: cardamom buns. Success is measured in many ways; for me, it’s the taste of Christmas. ❤️

My aunt used to send us new Asterix books every year for Christmas. This is childhood, revisited — with much love.

You know how someone is an important person/close friend? When you share something weird (‘I built a walking labyrinth on my farm’) and the reply is THAT’S SO COOL I LOVE LABYRINTHS and shares multiple pics of the ones they’ve walked in the past year. Shared weirdness is powerful.

This is always a good reminder.

I wrote Enquiring, Critical, and Creative Spirit: A History of the Centre for the Study of Cooperatives back in 2018. It was originally published digitally, online, chapter/chapter. The Centre did a limited run of the book this fall; so cool to see it exist in real form.
