This is a Catch-22 for an autistic person, if I don't speak up - my health will fail and I will lose my ability to be productive, if I do speak up, my career will fail and I will be managed out of an organisation.

Ethical advantage in a capitalist system that thrives on doing unethical things makes you a liability as an employee. So many of us had to learn the hard way that speaking up is career limiting, but continuing to work there without doing something also takes a massive personal health toll.

Ok. That's it. I think I've finally reached my threshold. I'm done accepting survival as the goal for autistic people. We deserve more. We deserve the ability to find peace, fulfillment, and happiness (just like anyone else).

I shouldn't wade into this discourse, but LANGUAGE CHANGES and old people always hate what kids are doing. This is fine, especially if the author intends it to be euphemistic. Language policing always ends in systematic discrimination against marginalized people. We don't want to go down this road!
