Odd that an org known as a starting pitcher factory over the last 35 years has never had a starting pitcher win RoY. Soroka and Strider both finished second in the last few years.

Good piece. The fundamental problem, I think, is for all the protestations to the contrary, there aren't *that* many teams in the league at any given time that prioritize winning above all else. The Dodgers do, and bless them for it. Far too many others would rather kvetch than compete.

I won't often write two blog posts in one day, but I went down a rabbit hole looking at this transaction and wanted to share. It included an owner a lot like Ted Turner, players arguing to be free agents, and one of the best catchers of his era.

Sickness and other crap can't keep me down - completely. Today, let's dive into the outfield and DH. On the surface, the outfield looks set, but improvement is needed. What will the Braves do at DH is a bigger question.

"Cam Caminiti... pitched to a 2.08 ERA while boasting one of the top sliders in the lower minors. His slider is a sweeper with between 4-6 inches of ride and 10-11 inches of sweep. Caminiti also has an outlier HAA of -4.9 degrees, which helps to play up movement on the pitch."

I second this emotion from the AJCās Ken Sugiura. The Bravesā should retire Brian Snitkerās number. Itās not just about his time as manager and winning a World Series. Itās about his near half-century in the organization.

Why the Braves should retire Brian Snitkerās jersey number
Snitker gave his entire professional career to the Braves organization, and the vast majority of it was at the minor-league level, where he was not living a life of comfort.

This mirrors my thoughts. Brian Snitker absolutely was the right man at the right time when he took the reigns in 2017. The organization has been better for his involvement.
