Just back from burying my uncle’s ashes. My cousin had some photos I hadn’t seen before. I like this one at their sister’s wedding; Dad was 11 and John was 5. He was a policeman for a long while, in the middle with his motorbike boys! He died in January, now buried with my grandparents. ❤️❤️

First flowers, that aren’t frazzled in the heat, on my new rose Lady Emma Hamilton. It had been retired by David Austin but they brought it back in limited numbers earlier on in the year so I had to have one 🫣😂

Lovely walk by the reservoir and across the fields just now. Met a couple who were taking their rescued birds for a walk - a duck and a magpie, both found during the winter and the wildlife hospital wanted to put them down. The magpie was on a lead. Seemed very happy. 🦆🦆

Oscar is helping me with dead heading duties and inspecting the meadow with its glorious ox eye daisies. We picked a little posy on the way back 😻😻
